It is with heavy heart that we have to report the passing of Roy Watkins 1st Bn Gloucestershire Regiment.
Roy joined 14 pln D Coy in the early 60s and had a remarkable career reaching the rank of WO2.
Roy was a popular comrade and friend to us all and made his mark on a lot of us helping to shape the men we are today.
Condolences have been sent to his wife Val and family stalwart members of the Forest of Dean Branch Roy will be sadly missed. Details of his funeral will be published later.
